This mountain town was my home for years. Early ups on the gondola to work in the terrain park to late nights bussing tables at Slopeside. I learned Graphic design, photography and started illustrating and painting here.

My digital photography skills started in this valley and I am forever grateful for being able to document concerts, homes and landscapes and even have a show with the Steamboat Springs Arts Council at the Depot. This illustration was created one evening after a heavy snow in the valley. The alpenglow lit up on Mt. Werner and happened to be reflected in the Yampa River below. The light beamed on the mountain and was amplified in the swirling clouds above. They resembled a camouflage pattern of pastel colors that twirled above the summit while the rest of town fell into darkness. This print measures 10×10″.
